I am a Texas licensed attorney and am passionate about helping individuals and small business owners alike.  After several years of experience in consumer finance, small business, and construction litigation, I decided that both my life and professional experiences and abilities are at a place where I can now be of value to individuals and small businesses in my community.  I want to provide legal representation for everyday people who might otherwise not have the assistance of counsel. 

My father and mother started out as a small construction business, which they were able to grow to be successful for many years.  Over the course of their lifetimes, their small businesses provided employment to many people that they treated like a small family.  Providing the means for their employees to support their own families while learning a trade was the most important aspect of their careers.  Being in this environment as a young woman growing up also inspired me to open a law practice that provides affordable legal assistance to individuals and small business and give back to my community.  This life experience also drives me to have the desire to help small businesses and individuals who, like my parents, cannot afford to pay the high attorney’s fees of a large law firm. 

I received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from U.C. Berkeley, obtained my Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now known as Texas A&M School of Law, and later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  I am admitted to the State Bar of Texas and admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Texas: Southern, Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts.  I am a member of the Real Estate Legislative Affairs Committee for the Real Estate Probate and Trust Law section of the State Bar of Texas.  I am also co-author of the Legislative Update for the Texas Legislature, Regular Session, Affecting Real Estate, Mortgage Lending and Other Commercial Matters for the last six years.
